Supergoopy lashes might look great in pictures and on runways, but they’re not entirely suited for real life. If you want to amp up the volume on your lashes, there are some tricks of the trade that you should start practising.
Go for good clumpy.
There’s the good kind of clumpy, and then there’s the bad kind of clumpy. Go for a clumpy base and tapered tips for that sexy lash volume. Avoid crusty or gooey lashes by combing through each coat with a spooley brush while it’s still wet.
Use the eyelash curler to your advantage.
An insider secret that the make-up artists do? They curl the lashes AFTER applying mascara. That way, it squeezes the base and smooshes the mascara making your lashes look thicker and fuller.
Line the waterline.
Lift your top lid and trace your waterline gently with eyeliner. Your eyes won’t necessarily looked lined that way, and it fills in the spaces between lashes, instantly making them look more filled and dense.
Don’t face the mirror straight on.
Look down on your mirror at a 45 degree angle when you you’re doing your mascara. Not only does it give you access to your lashes better than if you faced your mirror straight on, your wet lashes are less likely to touch your eyelids and smudge your perfected lashes.
