Lila Moss must’ve had the best birthday this year. A few days after turning 16, the girl who calls legendary supermodel Kate Moss ‘mum’ was announced as the new face of Marc Jacobs Beauty. “I met Lila Grace for the first time in 2008, when I was on holiday in Ibiza and went to Fromentera for the day to visit with her mum and other friends and family. At just 6 years old, Lila’s strong character, demeanour and great beauty was already very apparent,” said designer Marc Jacobs in the heartfelt press release.
Marc fostered a close friendship with Kate after she walked in his 1993 show for Perry Ellis, making this appointment feel as though everything was coming full circle. Lila is Kate’s only daughter with former partner, Jefferson Hack.
