5 Must-Visit Resto Bars In Klang Valley

If the term sounds foreign to you, it basically means exactly what it sounds like -  the perfect union between a restaurant and bar. Whether they're combined into one space or separated into sections that are designated for dining and drinks, it makes planning a night out a lot easier. Gather all your besties in one place and let the conversations flow over delicious dishes before hopping over to check out the bar menu.

We can’t deny that having a no-fuss iced cold beer with a bowl of potato chips on the side is the epitome of comfort, but if you’re feeling like adding an extra twist to a special occasion, give our recommended Resto Bars below a taste or two.

2. Bello

This contemporary trattoria (a.k.a. Italian restaurant) tucked on the 6th floor of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur may just be your next comfort food favourite. While maintaining traditional Italian grandmother-style dishes, Bello integrates modern twists to pave the way for exciting flavour combinations we haven’t seen anywhere else.

Get one of the staff to recommend you something off the menu and they’ll point at the wood fired oven pizza, with good reason of course. If you’re a fan of celebrity chef David Chang, or binge-watched Ugly Delicious on Netflix before, you would already know that the dough plays an important role. At Bello, natural Mother Yeast is used to ferment the dough from 24 to 26 hours before they’re popped into the wood fired oven. The result? A fluffy crust that doesn’t lose its crunch at every bite.

Pizza Pomelo

Vegetarians and vegans will be happy to take note that Bello serves a generous amount of meat-free options. Our favourites include the Pizza Pomelo (RM18), which is a modern interpretation of the classic schiacciata, but topped off with a refreshing combination of Pomelo, sun dried tomatoes, Vincotto and Parmesan. The Pappardelle Rosse (RM32) on the other hand is made up of freshly made wide ribbon pasta, beautifully coloured with beetroot pesto, seasoned with Feta cheese, Kalamata olives and Pecan nuts.

The bar is slightly hidden in the back but rest assured the bar menu has a wide selection of wine, liquor and beer. Have a glass or two with your dinner or get cozy at the bar after a long and tiring day at the office.
