We don’t know about you but to us, nothing’s more Malaysian than public holidays that spill over into long weekends. This Malaysia Day weekend marks our third (!!!) long weekend in a row and sadly, also our last official one of 2018 (unless you’re planning on taking leave around Deepavali or Christmas and if you haven’t thought of it yet, you’re welcome).
With so many long weekends back-to-back, if you’ve run out of things to do, don’t worry as we’ve got you covered. Besides some recurring favourites, we’ve also listed some brand new, only-this-weekend events as well as new spots in town that should be on your radar.
Bazaars, exhibitions, food and more food (it wouldn’t be Malaysia without it, am I right?), here’s a few things to close out your long-weekend spree with a bang.
Riuh Done Different @ Sentul Depot, 15 & 16 September
For this month, everyone’s favourite creative platform RIUH is going off-site to Sentul Depot, a 110-year old railway warehouse hidden right in the middle of KL. Marking the first time Sentul Depot is open to the public, the historic space will be converted into a RIUH-style pop-up spot, full of vendors, workshops and performances by local acts.
This edition of RIUH is also a joint partnership with Grab and all transactions at Sentul Depot will be done through GrabPay credits. Find out more on RIUH’s Instagram.
