When chatting with your friends or co-workers, do you subconsciously say “we” instead of “me” even when your partner is not around?
For example, “We really liked the movie” or “We really recommend that restaurant”?
This suggests that you don’t see yourself as a separate person from your partner, or that you feel the need to share the same thoughts and opinions as him to make them more valuable. Make a conscious effort to try to speak for yourself first.
