A conceptual problem our parents will never be able to understand: “Why is there no emoji for coconuts?” when trying to create the perfect caption for our picturesque smoothie bowl that we can’t afford.
It’s 2017 and there is such thing as a World Emoji Day, a day to celebrate all the Emojis we use on the daily. You may be thinking, why July 17th? Well, tap over to your Emoji keyboard and check the calendar emoji. I know! MIND. BLOWN.
Getting behind on the celebration, Apple gives us a sneak peek of some new emojis we can expect to be available with iOS 11 later this year in Autumn.
Most of these new ones were demanded by the public, and I suppose this is how Apple inform its users that they’re listening. Especially the woman with a headscarf emoji, finally!
The emoji language has come a long way from where it started, it continues to break barriers by creating equal opportunities for everyone despite our differences. Nobody should be left behind.
