Warner Bros. Records asked Emmy Award winner Derek Hough to fill in for singer Michael Bublé by creating, directing and starring in the video for Bublé’s new single “I Believe In You.” Hough graciously accepted the challenge.
The finished video is a romantic love story about a couple through the various stages of their lives together. The story was inspired by the Bublé penned lyrics, along with Hough’s observing his grandparents who danced every day of their lives.
The video features Hough as one half of a couple whose relationship survives challenges through decades of love that endures through the test of time.
Hough was asked to step in for Bublé, who is currently taking a break from career commitments while his son is being treated for cancer. Bublé announced the good news last week that his three year old son Noah was progressing well.
“It’s been a pleasure to work on this project – a positive story about everlasting love. Sending all that energy to Michael and his wonderful family #believeinyou,” commented Hough on his Facebook page about directing the video.
“I Believe in You” is the second single from Buble’s Nobody But Me album, which debuted last October at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts.
