“Rising star” may sound like a cliché, but as Marianne had started out in some short stints on youTube and was then discovered for OlaBola, it’s easy to see her combined artistic talent and intelligence. But what’s the point of a killer lipstick if it’s faded by your next coffee break? Keep your lippie on your kissers for longer by dusting a touch of powder foundation over lips just before applying.
A monochrome look accented by some metallic hardware gave Marianne’s look some tough love. “We wanted to bring out her alter-ego, so to offset the bold eye, we toned down her brows by two shades,” says make-up artist, Sheng Saw. He also used Shiseido Synchro Skin Foundation in Golden 2 on Marianne’s complexion.
“In the world of beauty and fashion, the rule is there are no rules. Try any look, if it’s in sync with you,” says Sheng. We experimented with a few shades before deciding on Shiseido Rouge Rouge in RD713 Hushed Tones, which is a subtle nude you can wear any time.
EYES AND HAIR
