How adventurous are you when it comes to trying different beauty brands? Brands that we don’t hear about from our favourite Beauty Gurus? So you see it in malls but you never really venture in to take a closer look. Well, we’re here to tell you to take a chance.
Derived form the word ‘sunflower’ in Italian, Elianto makeup started back in 2005. Marketed as the skin care expert, they offer a range of skin care products and makeup products at an affordable price.
It was just a few weeks ago that #teamCLEO had the privilege of receiving some of their best sellers. Naturally, we put them to the test and here are our thoughts:
Spoiler: We were actually amazed.
I’m not one to use full coverage foundation every single day for work so I tend to gravitate towards a BB cream or in this case a BB cushion.
Boy was I impressed by this. Not only was this lightweight but this gave me a full coverage base. If you look at the distinctive pattern on the cushion, there is a mixture of brown, white and pink – this actually helps to colour correct any discolouration you might have on your face.
So not only could I use this for my face but I used it as a concealer for my dark circles as well.
This wore beautifully throughout the day and with it’s main ingredient – chamomile, my oils were kept at bay so at the end of the day, I looked like I had a healthy glow instead of my usual oil slick of a mess.
If you’re thinking of trying this, fret not as it is free from paraben, alcohol, talc and mineral oil.
Almost every brand has a liquid lip – from the most affordable to the most luxurious. With this price point however, I was blown away by the formula and pigmentation. Not only did it glide on like a dream, it wore comfortably throughout the day. While it did not withstand oily meals, it held up sturdily as I drank and ate my meals. However, I do think they need to extend their colour range as the nudes lean towards a lighter spectrum which ends up washing most people out.
