Calligraphy, embroidery and travelling are just a few of Anni Tai’s favorite things. Having caught the wave of interest for DIY arts and crafts, specifically for activities such as calligraphy and embroidery just at the right moment, she has quickly established a business (and aesthetic) that quickly took over social media feeds.
As the only “creative kid” in her family, she’s always been the one family and friends turn to when they needed some creative input. Prior to starting up he own workshops and doing commissioned works, Anni along with her university course mate, Rachel Chew established their stationary label, Pebble Paper Design – famous for their pretty floral-and-fruit-patterned notebooks.
How did you get started?
I’ve always imagined myself pursuing a creative career. When I thought of the ideal job I wanted, it always came back to the passion projects that I was already dabbling in. Concurrently, in the last few years, it seems that there is a growing community of people who are interested to learn art. And, that’s when the light bulb lit.
