Beauty Breakdown: IN2IT’s Contour Palettes On Different Face Shapes And Skin Tones

TeamCLEO tries out this multi-purpose palette for contouring and on the eyes

If you’ve paid attention to the trends lately, the word 'natural' is written all over billboards and in CAPS. Brands have been advocating hard on natural beauty and embracing diversity. A dramatic changeover in the fashion and beauty industry, it seems.

However, due to this idea still being in its infancy, not many are ready to go bare and reveal their insecurities. And if you’re one of them but would like to start off with baby steps like keeping makeup to the minimal, IN2IT products should be your holy grail. Especially their Highlight & Contour Compact and Radiant & Glow Palette, these babies can turn attention from your less confident parts onto your more striking features.

Mind you, this is not just paper talk. We've got proof! Three of team CLEO members are here to give you an idea of how the products will look like when applied on different face shapes and skin tones. You’ll be sold.

Face Shape: forehead, cheekbone and jawline that are the same width

Contour Hairline & Jaw to create softness and roundness of the face

So Keisha, our graphic designer, has a square face and darker skin tone. To be fair, strong jawlines are attractive, but too much of it can look a tad bit more masculine. Hence, to create a softer look overall, she contoured the corners of her hairline and the corners of her jaw with IN2IT’s Contour & Highlight Compact.

Contour Cheekbones to give height to face

She continued by swiping a line of the contour powder on her cheekbones with an angled contour brush. Then, traced a line down each side of her nose to create an illusion of a higher nose.

Highlight cheeks, underneath brows and forehead for a pop-up look

Of course, just contouring isn’t enough. Highlighters are a MUST for that instant pop. Using the highlighter from the same compact, she smudged some of the shimmer above her cheeks, underneath her brows and a little on her forehead.

Can you see the difference in her before and after pics? And do you notice how your attention is now drawn to her eyes instead of her jaws? Not to mention her apples look as plump as Angelina Jolie’s.
