How To Make A Zine

Curating your own zine is all about freedom and power. Raw self-published zines often revolve around ‘controversial’ topics that are too sensitive for the acceptance of mass media. Think of it as an artistic medium to express yourself – through a combination of text and images. There’s no right or wrong when it comes to this, hence the fact that it all goes back to your own creativity and the powerful content you’d like to bring across through the people who pick up a copy.

Zine-making is nothing new. It carries radical messages of active underground movements by the punks, feminists, the LGBTQ community and activists all across the globe. Write up a zine if you feel like you should put your thoughts out there to trigger others to ponder. That’s the beauty of a zine, it could be everything if you want it to be. It’s all up to you. To kick-start your new project, here’s how to start with the basic:
