It’s that time of year again when acrid smell of smoke hangs in the air and we see some dramatic, fiery red sunsets. Before we get into blaming the Sumatra for the changes in the environment, let us reflect on our actions and be honest with ourselves – did we really not contribute to this mess at all?

Guilty, right? And now we’re suffering the consequences! To make up for it, we should start by eliminating plastic and slowly pave our way to a zero-waste lifestyle. But before we buckle down and talk business, let’s learn to protect ourselves from the horrendous haze FIRST. Because this is happening like rn!

check air quality regularly

At tough times like this, the Air Pollution Index (APX) is our friend. So, check regularly and make the necessary precautions as soon as it hits the 100 mark. We recommend wearing an N95 mask when under such circumstances. It’s pricier but it does a better job in filtering out airborne particles than surgical masks.
