Recycled airplane air, environmental changes, and stressful layovers can zap radiance and moisture from skin and cause breakouts. We've all had our fair share of experiences with extremely dry skin while on-flight and the worst time for bad skin is during your much needed getaway.
Here's how to keep your skin looking its best, anywhere you are in the world:
During the flight
If it takes more than eight hours to your destination then bring your serum and sunscreen on board for reapplication as needed. Aesthetician Renée Rouleau recommends against using a face mist on board as the aircraft air will rob skin of the applied moisture. Serum or moisturisers are better options as they are more hydrating; rather than just sitting on the surface, they are designed to be absorbed by your skin. Most importantly, (as tempting as that can of soda is) stay hydrated with lots of H2O.
