Even at such a young age, Heidy has received one of the highest accolades in the world. The most recent recipient of the Queen’s Young Leaders Award for her efforts in providing education to refugees, Heidy and her non-profit, Refuge For The Refugees (RFTR) is in the midst of launching a baking school to empower refugee women with baking and entrepreneurial skills. “We want to help these women find a way to aid their communities while taking on new skills!” she enthused.
When asked about her experience in London and meeting the Queen herself, she admitted it lit a fire inside her. “It was so inspiring to meet these world leaders, and be with other future leaders!”
Heidy continues to make a positive change in the world and her partner in crime?
