The 2016 Olympics is upon us, folks! While we can’t wait for all the action to begin, we also love spying the activewear trends that the athletes will sport (plus the – ahem – hot bods). Yes, style spotting is not just for the red carpet. For the Summer Olympics in Rio, did you know that the Italian Olympic and Paralympic teams will be sporting gear specially designed by Giorgio Armani?
As their official outfitter, Armani will supply all formal and leisure wear that come in their iconic midnight blue, and bear the EA7 logo, the word ‘Italia’ and the new CONI logo. Each athlete will get tracksuits, waterproof jackets, polo shirts, Bermuda shorts, cargo pants, shorts and two styles of running shoes made for maximum comfort. You can also catch the team in special suits created for them at the opening ceremonies.
If you want a piece of this iconic collection, the items will be available for sale in selected Emporio Armani stores. The oh-so-gorgeous ad campaign was shot by Serge Guerand and modelled by Pietro Boselli and Penny Lane in in quintessential Armani style. We must say, the Italian team is going to be one good looking bunch.
