A fresh manicure can either make or break your entire day. I know I don’t stand alone when it comes to having experience the great disappointment of budging a fresh manicure before you even leave the salon. Instantly – world. SHATTERED.
You’re probably thinking, “just get gel!”
Personally, I’ve gone through a tragic episode with gel polish that led to the point where my nails were yellow and had to lay off anything other than strengthening oils. Awesome on holidays, not so much for weekday activities.
Pedicures seem to last forever but nails will inevitably chip away, unless you’re one of the Kardashians I suppose (what are house chores?) which is why we’re here to share some insight on how to extend the longevity of your manicure, done professionally or at home:

A thick layer of nail polish equals a mess just waiting to happen. It will only dry on the top layer, leaving your nails vulnerable to smudges or thumbprints.
