Ravinash Ratnam, 25, Doctor
What’s one stereotype you’d like to get rid of?
The idea that women are inferior, or less than compared to men. I believe all humans deserved equal treatments and opportunities, no matter their gender.
If you could start a charity, who would benefit from the cause?
I did start one, actually! I gathered a whole group of doctors to provide medical and teaching aid for orphanages and old folks’ home. Everyone deserves to love, a proper education and a good health.
In five years, what do you hope to see invented?
Treatment and cure for multitude of diseases to be created and available to the public for free. Yes, it is a far-fetched hope, but it is possible.
What is the one food you consider comfort food?
Banana leaf rice. Cheat days are spent searching for the best banana leaf rice.
Which fictional character do you relate to the most?
Jerry Macguire. He never gives up, he’s always there, even when it gets rough and he never gave up on the girl he loved.
What business did you wish you’ve started?
I’d rather help those in need, than making money. It is why I’ve remained in the government sector, so the public can continue paying RM1 for consultations.
