Jay Walia, 28, TV Host, Actor, Singer.
What’s the most nerve-wrecking part of being in front of the camera?
Every new day brings about a new show and every show has its challenges, youll hardly get bored doing this cause definitely anything that can go wrong would go wrong and your job is to make sure the interviews go as smoothly as possible and your guests are most comfortable. Sometimes your brain can tell your mouth to say something but something else will come out, that takes a lil more practise to handle.
Give us a little insight on what you do.
I talk for a living which is pretty crazy when you really think about it. I’m a TV host, actor and singer. I started out a singer though my passion has always been television. So I spend most of my time talking to many different folks who are doing lotsa amazing things as well as stuffing my face silly reviewing food. Its a tough life but someones gotta do it LOL.
What do you value most in a friendship?
I’ve known my closest friends for about 20 years now and the one thing I value most camaraderie and brotherhood, and how entwined our lives have become.
If you could start a charity, who would benefit from it?
I’d like to aid those in need of education. From the kindergartens to universities, I believe everyone should be entitled to an education and also be given the opportunities to develop beyond the classrooms.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
If you want it, learn to ask for it. If you didn’t find what you’re looking for, try another way. Just, don’t stop trying.
“Every man should know how to…”
Give a good handshake.
What is an accessory on your wish list?
A nice pinky ring, like the kind that Bruno Mars was on about in 24K Magic!
If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be?
I struggle with anxiety and I’d say to be able to handle stress better.
