Can you blame #TeamCLEO for being a little preoccupied sometimes with our TV shows and #Netflix. We do it for research reasons, obviously. Here, the team has compiled their list of the hottest men to watch on TV right now. And even if you already know and love our top picks, there’s nothing wrong with a little eye candy for you to scroll through…
The Smooth Criminal
His closet’s packed with ridiculously slick suits and hair gel, and his office is full of scheming, witty banter and expensive basketballs. See how long it takes you to fall head over heels for sexy, sly lawyer Harvey Specter, played to perfection by Gabriel Macht. #TeamCLEO’s prediction? A New York minute. Just take a look for yourself…
You never know when a zombie apocalypse is going to strike — but it would be nice if Steven Yeun was there to save us in real life. As survivor Glenn, he’ll wow you with his slaying skills. You’ll also be loving his and Maggie’s (Lauren Cohan) sweet hook-up. Spoiler alert: They find love in a hopeless place.
He was brilliant as a drug kingpin in critically acclaimed drama The Wire, hilarious as the boss of a paper company in the US version of The Office and Golden Globe-winning as a tortured London detective in Luther. And he’s well fit, so just binge-watch Idris Elba’s entire back catalogue.
THE TRIPLE THREAT
Dutchman Michiel Huisman is H-O-T. His big break came in New Orleans-set drama Treme, then he popped up on cult sci-fi hit Orphan Black … but we all know him as the finest bedmate Westeros has ever seen. It’s not enough that Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) has three dragons – she’s landed the dreamiest dude, too.
Still reminiscing about your favourite scenes in Twilight? Then you’ll be sure to lap up Orange Marmalade, a Korean teen drama about — you guessed it — vampires. Although Yeo Jin-goo plays a normal human being in the show, his acting chops give Robert Pattinson a run for his money. Edward who, now?
THE BABIN’ BROTHERS
Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) are so smokin’ hot, they’ve even inspired a pervy genre of erotic fan fiction devoted to their other-worldly adventures. While you might not have the urge to pen creepy porn about them on the Interweb, you’ll still enjoy watching the rugged duo fight demons, ghosts, vampires, spirits and all things, well, supernatural, to a rocking ’70s-inspired soundtrack, thanks to the spot-on chemistry between the two dashing leads. After all, there’s a (okay, two) reason(s) why Supernatural has been on our screens since 2005 and is still going strong with its 11th season. Instead of stopping at Season Three, as the series creator had originally planned.
There are many reasons to watch this soapy-but-awesome country music drama — Connie Britton’s hair, Hayden Panettiere’s Golden Globe-nominated sass — but the main drawcard to watch Nashville is Gunnar Scott (Sam Palladio). He’s a tall drink of water with a big heart and the voice of an angel.
The Real Hero
It didn’t take us long to fall in love with the rogue DEA agent Javier Peña on the Netflix cult hit, Narcos. And once you’ve binge-watched the whole season, you’ll also realise why. The aviator-wearing, gun-slinging, drug-busting, Spanish-speaking mustachioed agent will have you discarding your innerwear faster than he can say “Hola”. Based on a real life person (we hate to interrupt your creamy fantasy, but this is the real Javier, now…), Pedro Pascal is more famously known for his role as Oberyn in GOT. BRB, some 90s-inspired fantasies to attend to.
