As an early-riser, it’s always a bad decision to leave your mane duties to the last minute. You can leave me to do my own make-up but when it comes to my hair, I can’t be bothered losing sleep over it. This changed when I started making it a routine to prep my scalp for the day just before I head to bed. Other than the usual shampoo and conditioner, I’ve gotten myself into the habit of using a hair mask for nourishment. If I’m not going to be styling my hair, I might as well try my best to keep it looking soft and most importantly, healthy!
A hair mask session before bed leads the way to a zen end to the day. I usually take my time coating my whole head with a mask, clipping it up then reading a book or watching a few shows on Netflix. Every product will tell you a suggestion time frame but I always think, the longer the better? Especially if you have thick hair.
