Snapchat was declared to be dead by Kylie Jenner back in February and the company’s stocks tumbled. Now our favourite bad gal Rihanna slams the app for making light of her past, specifically of the physical abuse she endured in 2009 when ex-boyfriend Chris Brown violently assaulted her.
Fans took to social media platforms to call out Snapchat over the trivializing domestic violence in a “would you rather” game below:
Is it just me, or is this ad that popped up on my Snapchat extremely tone deaf? Like what were they thinking with this? pic.twitter.com/7kP9RHcgNG

According to The Verge, Snapchat pulled down the ad and made the following statement: “The advert was reviewed and approved in error, as it violates our advertising guidelines.” to which Rihanna denied the apology on her Instagram.
Clearly, Rihanna is not taking the matter lightly and we’re backing her up. In her statement she encourages her fans to throw the whole app-oligy away and trust her fans will support the movement. Following up to her statement, the app’s stock has dropped nearly 5%. Coincidence? I think not.
I hope the ads were worth it Snapchat, besides anyone with a massive audience, everyone stopped using it. I deleted mine ✌?

Hey my love @rihanna
We just wanted you to know that we don’t like Snapchat anyway. We’re waiting on FentyChat. Thank you.
