3 Malaysian Hotels To Check In For Your Next Roadtrip

You’ve probably already drawn up some of your travels for 2017, but we say ditch those flight plans, get your car ready and round up the troops – it’s time for a  road trip!

We’ve picked out some cool hotels in some of Malaysia’s favourite small-town vacay spots for you to check-in to before you start to play, shop, eat and unwind on your long holiday weekend(s) in the coming year.

Pulai Springs Resort, Johor

The foothills of Mount Pulai in Johor is home to the luxurious five-star, world-class Pulai Springs Resort. M Boutique Hotel, Ipoh

A two-hour drive to the small town of Ipoh will bring you a weekend of sight-seeing, calm relaxation and an amazing selection of food. When they day is done and you’re ready to lay your head down, you best do it at M Boutique Hotel on Hala Datuk 5, in the middle of town.

This hotel is one of the pioneers of the urban vintage hotel movement that has taken the northern part of Malaysia. Its infusion of traditional architecture with modern interior deco. The M Boutique hotel features three different thematic floors – the Adventure floor with its safari-inspired theme, the Majestic floor which pays homage to the Asian belief of numerology, and the Excelsior floor which takes you back to colonial times with its British-inspired design.

Lexis Hibiscus, Port Dickson

You can’t claim to be Malaysian if you’ve never been to Port Dickson, affectionately known as PD to all.

This quiet beach-side town is the beach getaway spot for everyone who needs a breather from the chaos of city life. A mere one-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, PD is now home to the Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson resort on the pristine Pasir Panjang beach.

The 639 pool villas shape the hibiscus flower that can be seen from a bird’s eye view. Each villa has its own private dip pool, as well as a private steam room. Japanese food lovers will fall head over heels with the resort’s Japanese restaurant, Umi, with its fresh and beautiful presentation of traditional and modern cuisine from the Land of the Rising Sun.

There is also a host of recreational activities like archery, wall climbing, diving and bicycle rides for you to indulge in while there. In short, you won’t have to leave this beautiful resort for the entire weekend.
