So remember that wildly successful J.W. Anderson collection with Uniqlo late last year for Fall? It was deemed the best collab of the year according to Man Repeller. Nay – the best collab in years. I repeat, years! Plural!
Come the highly anticipated launch day and I brought home the rainbow turtleneck with the wrist ties and the portrait printed tee.
I was happy with these two purchases, I told myself. I was satisfied. Very happy. Completely content….jokes! I went back a couple days later and bought the blue striped skirt. A validated move, IMHO. Please see below for evidence.
If you didn’t manage to get in on the action last year, you’re in luck cause the collab is doing an encore! This time it’ll be for Spring/Summer, inspired by Britain’s Brighton Beach.
“In the 2nd collection of the collaboration, I’m looking for this idea of ‘British Summer,’ the idea of being on the Brighton beach. Something which is very lightweight, very airy, with a lot of linen, and cotton that has a 1950’s subcultural movement. With a little bit of ease and something which is quintessential.” – J.W. Anderson
