Steal Chiara Ferragni’s Bridal Beauty Look For Less

Italian IT girl behind The Blonde Salad/fashion designer/model/all-round beautiful person Chiara Ferragni wed her longtime beau, Italian musician Fedez, in a magnificent wedding earlier this week.

Just how magnificent you ask? Well, there were chartered flights taking friends and family to the rehearsal gala dinner at Noto Bassi di Palazzo Nicolaci in Noto, Southeastern Sicily, #Ferragnez (that’s the official wedding #, obvs) mascots for photo ops, Alberta Ferretti gowns for bridesmaids, a majestic palace where the actual wedding took place, a lit up cave for the wedding dinner, a carousel, a ferris wheel (casual), a filming crew (there’s a documentary in the works because 5-min wedding videos are so 2016) and the bride wore not one, not two, but three custom Dior gowns designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri. Oh, and the #Ferragnez baby, Leo, was also dressed in Dior, naturally.

TLDR; This was the wedding of the ages.

And as much as I want to dismiss it as just another influencer extravaganza, there’s just something very endearing about Chiara. Sponsored goods were marked with #suppliedby to keep things transparent. Also I’m partial to any wedding with a carousel.

Make-up artist Manuele Mameli took on the task of glamming up the bride. Chiara was named a Lancôme muse back in March, so fittingly Manuele used exclusively Lancôme for her big day to create glowing skin, soft silvery eyes and nude lips. It’s a look that feels easy and relaxed, polished but so unabashedly Chiara.

The best part about this look? It’s so versatile that you can rock it to other formal ‘dos! Plus, it’s relatively achievable with affordable options. We’ve thrown in some quality Lancôme splurges too so you can rock it like Chiara. Dior gown optional.

BASE

For glowing skin that lasts all night, start with a silicone-based mattifying primer like Rimmel’s Stay Matte (RM25.37 at Watsons). It’ll create the illusion of smooth, velvety complexion — even without filters! If you’re particularly dry, opt for one with hydrating properties.

For foundation, Manuele used a mix of Lancôme BB Cream Hydra Zen and Teint Idole Ultra Cushion on Chiara, but Lancôme’s Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation (RM175.40) works wonders for a perfect canvas.

Conceal where necessary with a blendable, creamy concealer like Maybelline Fit Me (RM21.06 at Guardian) and set with Bourjois Silk Edition powder (RM53.90 at Watsons). Bourjois makes some of the best drugstore powders, get on it!
