The month of March plays homage to women and we’re all about #GirlPower all day, every day. A former TV host and graduate in Finance and International Business from the University of Auckland, Stephanie Chai has always opted for the path less traveled. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, she caught the entrepreneurial bug and launched The Luxe Nomad in July 2012, aiming to solve the issues of ‘time and trust’ by offering travelers a highly curated collection of luxury properties. To date, Stephanie has raised over USD 2 million from investors such as Singapore VC Innosight Asia and Douglas Khoo, one of the founders of China’s largest travel booking sites, Qunar.
About The Luxe Nomad
TheLuxeNomad.com was founded on a simple belief: that luxury travel can be affordable. Launched in 2012 with a round of angel investment, the Singapore-based startup pioneered collaborating with celebrities and online influencers on Instagram which helped grow its reach to 250,000 travellers. The site now lists over 1200 private villas, apartments, and ski chalets in more than 35 destinations, offering guests the home-away-from-home comforts with a Luxe Nomad touch.
