I was born a chubby baby (but then again, so was everyone) and I grew up as the "fat kid". Even now at 22, I’ve got extras everywhere. Basically I’ve accepted that my body’s pear-shaped. If you don’t know what a pear is, it means that my bottom half, ie. hips, thighs and booty, are larger than my chest area.
From curvy hips, thick thighs, and a big booty, finding clothes can be such a drag. Especially finding clothes in Malaysia.This results in either looking like you have no shape or like a stuffed sausage, trust me I’ve been there. Trying to fit into something that you’ve seen on someone else with a different body type is something I can relate to. Just because someone else looks good in it, doesn’t mean you can wear the exact same thing.
A solution is to add your own personality! You’re bound to find clothes that look the same but still different enough to look flattering for your body type.
The goal here is to focus all the attention on the upper (smaller) half of your body!
Solid colours go on your bottoms and patterns (which draws attention) go on your top half. It will shape your hips, so they look smaller and defined. High-waisted clothes are your best friends because they hug in all the extras and you won’t have a muffin top!
