BEAUTY NEWS: The Kesha Rose Beauty Line Is Finally Here!
Calling all Kesha and make-up fanatics! The Kesha Rose Beauty Line has just been released and it’s here to colour up your world.
If you’ve kept your ear to the ground on the latest celebrity make-up launches during the past couple of months [or you’re simply a massive fan of Kesha], then you’d know that the singer has collaborated with LA-based cruelty-free cosmetics brand HipDot. Her much anticipated make-up line, Kesha Rose Beauty, finally dropped last month so get your $$$ ready!
“I wanted to create makeup that represented who I am as an artist and that my fans would love. Beauty is about embracing who you are while standing fearlessly together to celebrate our differences. Don’t strive for perfection because you’re already there. Go wild and remember, life is short. Don’t be afraid to Fuck It Up”, said Kesha in a statement shared with Bello Mag.
What’s in the make-up range, you ask? The 5-piece collection wrapped in shiny copper packaging kicks off with a colourful 12-pan eyeshadow palette, two dual-ended liquid eyeliner pens, a lipstick bullet and a lip gloss.
Beginning with the lips, she’s come up with a duo set containing the Raising Hell velvet-matte lipstick and Kesha’s personal fav, That B*tch Lip Gloss which you can wear together or on their own. The latter contains nourishing rosehip oil, plumping agents and a colour-changing formula that alters the lip shade to a natural pink based on your body’s pH levels. Talk about getting your money’s worth!
For the peepers, there’s two dual-sided liquid eyeliners: Cowboy Blues (jet black+ shimmering midnight blue) and Stay Gold (sparkling gold+ copper). According to Kesha, these Whatever, Wherever Wands are aptly called because you can use them anyway you like — as an eyeliner, lip liner or even as a tattoo pencil!
However, the ultimate knockout from the collection has to be the FTW Eyeshadow Palette. Forget about your cookie-cutter nudes; this encompasses tons of your non-typical bright colours from cerulean to chartreuse (Kesha’s fav btw) in shimmer, matte and glitter hues. But then again, how can we expect anything close to monochrome from the Raising Hell singer?
For all the Animals out there (it’s their fandom name), you might wanna pick up the I Want It All Collection which contains the whole collection or the Collector’s Box which includes an additional limited-edition box and a note from the singer.
One thing’s for sure: This psychedelic make-up line remains true to the optimistic, carefree Kesha that we know and love. Her make-up philosophy is basically all about embracing beauty internally by boldly playing with different colours and using it “incorrectly”.
“It’s not about feeling perfect or trying to look perfect or perfectly symmetrical or anything like that, it’s about being happy and having fun. So, I want people to play with it and have fun with it and hopefully feel like they’re expressing their auras and souls through makeup and not so concerned with looking like some perfectly symmetrical, filtered Instagram thing,” Kesha told Refinery29.
