#CLEOTopShelf: February

Here at the magazine, we’re very lucky to be able to test out various beauty goodies (all in the name of work, of course). But with brands launching new stuff faster than we can say ‘hyaluronic acid’, it’s hard to fully commit to a product. Which is why it’s always exciting when we hit pan on a certain bronzer or use up an entire bottle of facial cleanser. Every month, we’ll let you in on what gets permanent real estate on our top shelves, why we love them and whether or not we’d be repurchasing. Here we go!

Sukin Sensitive Facial Moisturiser, RM35 at Guardian

“My acneic, dehydrated skin craves so much moisture that sometimes I wish there’s such thing as an IV drip for face creams. But there isn’t (not that I know of!) so the next best thing is to generously apply moisturisers every morning and night. I tend to favour affordable options and save the splurging for more concentrated products such as serums and essences. Sukin offers an amazing range of vegan skincare with no nasties, cruelty-free and all at drugstore prices! The Sensitive Facial is especially perfect for times where your skin’s just irritated and angry, and all it needs is a good cleanse and a simple hydrator to reset itself. The creamy texture feels so soft on my face and oils such as jojoba, rosehip and avocado soothes and maintains happy skin. I’ve gone through two bottles of this, and even when I’m testing new stuff, I make sure I have this on back up just in case.”
