From runway to real life, these new releases from the Dior Backstage collection will now be your mainstays.
Model skin, fashion show looks and backstage vibes all rolled up in one – the Dior Backstage collection is centred on bringing you runway secrets and make-up you can recreate for yourself. Straight from the pro himself, Dior Backstage was imagined by Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup. Tailored to suit all skin tones and all desires, make yourself into the star you are with expert picks this season with brand new additions. Read on also for some amazing tips from Peter Philips himself.
First up is the Dior Backstage Face & Body Glow which you can use all over. Multi-use, this highlighter makes you 100% from top to toe and adapts to any skin tone. Use it on your face then extend towards your chest, and the curves of your arms and your legs. Peter Philips himself suggests either mixing with foundation for an all-over glow or apply a few drops for a subtle sheen to give skin that glow.
Next up is the custom eye palette which also includes a primer, a shadow-to-liner transforming gel and a gold top coat. What was that you said? There are six shades for you to play up, and in the remaining three containers are: a professional primer for long-lasting adherence of shadows, a gold top coat with oversized perlescent particles, as well as a gel that transforms any eyeshadow into a true eyeliner.
Peter Philips also shares tips for this custom eye palette: “Applied with any of the three eyeshadow brushes from the backstage range, the shades remain sheer; patted on with fingertips, they become more metallic; and when mixed with the gel they transform into eyeliner. The holiday season is the perfect opportunity to try different looks: blend shades to create unique smoky eyes, brighten the eyes with the gold top coat or dare to go bold with a unique liner in colours like silver, for example.”
Last up is an ultra-smooth, squeezable eyelash curler that thinks of you and your hands – an ergonomic rubber handles squeezes to capture your lashes to give you extra volume and big, big drama. Peter Philips says, “For an elegant curl, it is best to squeeze the lashes from the base toward the tips, from the inner corner outward.” Adaptable to any eyelid shape. Just apply lashings of waterproof mascara to set the shape of your lashes and flutter out the door.
