The 12 Biggest Beauty Trends of the Last Decade
As we begin taking down the Christmas tree and start writing our 2020 resolutions, here’s a recap of the biggest beauty trends from the noughties.
Can you believe that Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance was released 10 years ago?? Neither can we, but it is surreal to know that another decade has flown by us in just a finger snap. If you don’t think that much can happen in the beauty realm within this time, then imagine this: the billion-dollar Kylie Cosmetics empire, Instagram beauty trends as well as now-common beauty terms like ‘K-Beauty’ and ‘microblading’ didn’t exist back when we were blasting Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” on the radio.
We’ve discovered some of the most life-changing make-up and skincare trends that have since become part of our regular beauty regimen. It’s fair to say there was absolutely no turning back after that. How can we possibly fathom life without them? What’s more, there have been huge cultural shifts that have molded some of these iconic, barrier-breaking trends (spoiler alert: it can’t get any bigger than No. 12 on our list).
What better way to spend the last day of 2019 than to sit back and keep scrolling down as we take a blast to the past decade and reminisce about the 12 biggest beauty trends of the 2010s? Hop on the beauty time machine with us and swipe on.
