CLEO Hot Bachelors 2018: Thomas Lawson Cowie

Thomas Lawson Cowie, 19, Student

Thomas Lawson Cowie devotes himself to sports like his life depends on it and having dipped his toes in so many different ones, rugby really stuck with him and he hopes to be able to play it professionally. He also doesn’t mess around when it comes to food, serious enough to say the ultimate way to his heart is through his stomach!

Tell us a little bit about what you do.

I’m currently doing my degree in Law and I am a rugby player as well.

Describe your sense of humour?

Simple and stupid one liner jokes never fail to crack me up.

Are you into sports? What kinds?

Sports is literally my oxygen. I have dipped my toes in most sports from football, basketball, athletics to even martial arts. But currently I am into rugby.

Of what are you most afraid?

An empty snack pantry. Nothing feels worse than having no snacks to munch on.

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

Probably bar hopping and searching for the best pub food in the whole of Klang Valley.

At what job would you be terrible?

Accounting. Don’t get me wrong, I love maths and problem solving with numbers but something about accounting simply does not compute in my head.

What is a dream you have that you’ve yet to achieve?

Skydiving and playing rugby professionally

Where is your happy place?

Any chicken rice spot.

What are you excited about that’s coming up in 2018?

I’m looking forward to playing higher level rugby and also all the trips and adventures with my friends planned out through the year.

Watching MotoGP races and observing the team strategies and riding styles. Coming in second is learning strategies and playstyles of various sports, mainly rugby, basketball and football as well as e-sports such as Counter Strike.

– Thomas on in his favourite thing to lean about in his free time.

Country side life, beach life, or city life?

City life for sure. Country side and beach life are great holiday plans but too boring and simplistic for me.

Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?

Most of the time I am spontaneous and driven by impulse. As long as there is an idea, I’m up for it.

If you could play any instrument, what would you play?

The saxophone since ladies find saxophone musicians sexy.

Tell us about your best friend.

One of the most adventurous and spontaneous people I have met. He is also somebody that loves adventure just as much as I do. Our friendship can be described like the movie Dumb and Dumber. We’re always doing stupid and mischievous things

The way to your heart is through…?

My stomach
