#TeamCLEO Tries: The Disney Love Minnie Mouse Collection By Ambush
When it comes to collaborations, Uniqlo has got to be one of the brands with the most exciting ones — from the infamous KAWS collection to JW Anderson. Today, the Japanese brand has launched a brand new collection with Tokyo-based luxury streetwear brand, AMBUSH.
The collection, also known as The Disney Love Minnie Mouse Collection by AMBUSH, is a UT collection that features Disney’s beloved cartoon character, Minnie Mouse on t-shirts, bucket hats, bags and jackets; specially created by Yoon Ahn of Ambush herself which she has given a streetstyle twist — a design aesthetic that AMBUSH is famously known for.
Since this is the first collaboration between Uniqlo, Disney and Ambush, we at #TeamCLEO had to check the exciting collection out and copped a few items too. Not today, FOMO.
Swipe to check out how our writer, Lee Ann has incorporated the items into her own wardrobe.
“If you have the chance to take a peek of my wardrobe, you’ll be seeing lots of black-coloured clothing which I LOVE and have a habit on buying them — so it’s no surprise that I went for the black T-shirts for this collection too! When I first tried on this T-shirt, I was quite shocked of its cutting. It fits more oversized compared to the usual Uniqlo UT women cutting so I opted for size M at first (also because I love my clothes oversized). So I ended up going for size S and paired this top with a culotte jeans.
I love how my jeans have frayed ends which give an added touch of fun to the ensemble, and I wore it together with a pair of chunky dad sneakers for a hypebae lewk. I then topped the outfit off with a shoulder bag from the collection — which is one of the few items that caught my eyes when I first saw the line-up.”
