The 2018 World Cup is officially done and dusted as we wave goodbye to all the uber talented and uber good looking gents (yes, I am talking to you, Griezmann). It was just last night that France went against Croatia for the 2018 World Cup and France came out as champions with a final 4-2 score.

While France got the lead when Croatia scored their own goal, Croatia evened the score with a goal of their own. However, a handball penalty by France’s Antoine Griezmann put them in the lead. France’s 3rd goal was scored by Paul Pogba and the 4th goal was scored by one of the youngest goal scorer in the history of World Cup, Kylian Mbappé, since 1958 when Pelé of Brazil scored against Wales.

Despite their attempts, Croatia could not catch up to France and the game ended after an additional 5 minutes. France had first won the World Cup back in 1998 when they played on their home soil, making this their second World Cup win.
