5 Cool Things You Can Do On A Road Trip To Cameron Highlands

Believe it or not, some of us actually love driving. Okay, sure, getting stuck in a KL jam is no fun, but cruising on a scenic road, taking in the curves on a winding trunk road, discovering small towns, and randomly stopping by the roadside every time we see snacks? LOVE!

We are into this stuff, people, coz you know what they say: “It’s not about the destination; it’s about the journey”. So the next time you think about going for a quick getaway, try this route #TeamCLEO took recently. It was a three-day, two-night trip from KL to Cameron Highlands and back via Bentong, Raub and a little place barely anyone’s heard of called Sungai Koyan.

Janda Baik pit stop

Whether you’re heading further out for a longer road trip and want an early pit stop, or just want a day out of the city, this place is a great option. Enderong Resort is a retreat located 600m above sea level in the hills of Janda Baik within the Tanarimba gated community. You can choose to stay here (you can either rent the whole bungalow or just get a room) or stop by for lunch or dinner at the Enderong Cafe.

What we like about it is that it’s nestled deep in the countryside with rolling green hills wherever you look, but so easy to get to! You can even book a guide for treks in the forest around the area. Definitely worth a pit stop!

ROUTE: Take Route E8 on the Karak Highway from KL, exit at Genting Sempah, and continue to Enderong Resort, Tanarimba.
