One of the things I've been struggling with since I started working full-time is sparing some time for my hobbies. Life is all about balance and if your day job is starting to wear you out, letting your energy flow into something other than your daily 9-to-5 is a healthy change of scenery. Learning a new skill is more than just about killing a few hours in the day, quality time spent doing what you love can be better for you than any therapy session.

Get your hands busy at a tablet weaving workshop with Claire Bessel, a weaver and textile artist from Brighton, UK. The ancient craft has existed since the 6th century BCE and this technique is still in practice all over the world. It requires simple equipment which will be provided and the workshop will last for about 4 hours. You’ll be able to weave a strong band which can be used as a bag handle, strap or even a waist band.
