If you have never heard of Kevin McCallister, what have you been doing? Home alone is the O.G. Christmas movie of almost every kid’s childhood.
To be fair, I have always wondered what it felt like to be an 8 year old home alone while my family is off on a holiday. It’s no secret to my friends and family that this movie is near and dear to my heart. I spend the time buried under the comfort of my blanket, a huge bag of chocolate (because popcorn is so basic) and my laptop playing the entire Home Alone series.
But it honestly does not make sense why someone would love a movie about a kid who was left behind. I mean, it’s an awesome Christmas movie, but let’s be honest, if we were to have a movie like this in 2017, people would be fuming and bashing the carelessness of Kevin McCallister’s parents.
