7 Signs You’re Losing Yourself In Your Relationship

Unfortunately, despite all our favourite Disney cartoons, not all relationships are like fairytales after getting together with The One.

Of course, when you’re in a relationship, it’s natural to become a new version of yourself, but you should never lose the core of who you are. Ask yourself if you’re feeling insecure, troubled, trapped or like you’ve lost the freedom to do things that you truly enjoy. If you do, then it’s time to get back your identity and confidence!

Raise the red flags if you see any of the signs below.

ME has become WE

When chatting with your friends or co-workers, do you subconsciously say “we” instead of “me” even when your partner is not around?

For example, “We really liked the movie” or “We really recommend that restaurant”?

This suggests that you don’t see yourself as a separate person from your partner, or that you feel the need to share the same thoughts and opinions as him to make them more valuable. Make a conscious effort to try to speak for yourself first.
