8 Waterfall Spots In Malaysia For A Relaxing Day-Trip

We all need a short vacay every now and then, right?

Half the year has gone by and we’re here baffled AF. Juggling work, family, friends and bae can get extremely hectic. Throw in #GE14 and #RoyalWedding and we’ve had ourselves a very busy month.

Stretching yourself thin can result in you burning out eventually. Stress can also lead to loss of motivation, constant fatigue and you’ll end up being a short fuse. So plan some downtime for a day or take a whole weekend.

Even if you’re not the outdoorsy type, no one can resist a beautiful waterfall. The rush of the falls, the cool breeze, the crisp water – sounds like heaven, doesn’t it?

Take a breather and check out one of these waterfalls:

Kanching Rainforest Waterfalls

Located between Rawang and Selangor, Kanching is one of the most famous falls in Malaysia. The falls are set in a forest reserve that makes it a very popular place for families to picnic. Photographers have also been known to test out their skills by shooting the rushing waters.

There are seven falls, or levels, at Kanching, with a small stream for kids to waddle around safely (parents still need to keep an eye on them though). Level 2 and 3 are considered the hot spot while Level 7 is about an hour hike away from the starting point.

*Beware of monkeys who will take your food and thieves.
