Project manager Pamela Choo Reviewers #TeamCLEO
When you live in the city, it’s easy to feel a little overwhelmed with it all (work, social life, gym, repeat). You find yourself struggling to stay present and really wanting to give yourself some time away. Maybe it’s constantly one thing after another, and you hardly have space for a little me-time. Or you can’t afford to take off for a long holiday, but your mind and body need a getaway for some self-care that you deserve.
Well, staycations are an amazing way to recharge and there’s nothing wrong with carving out time just for that. Rest, relax and take a breather — you’ll feel ready to #bringit after your stay.
Read on for the eight hotels in Malaysia that #TeamCLEO had the opportunity to check out and review. There’s just about something for any kind of staycation you’ve been longing for!
An All-in-one Tropical Getaway
A turquoise-blue sea view and a sea breeze that follows you wherever you go. Resorts World Langkawi is a place to take your mind off your busy schedule and have a complete #treatyourself moment. A peaceful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of city life, you’ll really be able to take in the beautiful nature of our country at this place.
Whether you’re staying in the Sea View room, taking a dip in the infinity pool or walking along the Boardwalk, you can’t help but admire the beautiful view of the sea.
The Premier Sea View room was clean and had a bright interior design that totally invites you in. As you walk into the room, you can’t help but head straight to the balcony to admire the ocean. You’ll get to enjoy natural light for those Insta pics and selfies as there are doors that open to the balcony. The king-sized bed was spacious and super-comfy to give you a good night’s rest. The bathroom was spotless and had good water pressure as well.
One of the best parts about Resorts World Langkawi is the stunning curved infinity pool that overlooks the sea. It has a gorgeous design and it’s the perfect backdrop for a photo. It’s also a saltwater pool that’s more beneficial to the skin! You won’t need to feel bad for extending the hours you spent at the pool.
For ultimate relaxation, go for a massage at the Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa. They offer holistic treatments like Javanese massages and beauty treatments. It’ll be sure to make you feel totally zen after.
Food and Drink
The Seagull Coffee House is where breakfast is served daily and it has your basics like bread and pastries, and you can order your eggs any way you like them! For those who prefer a heavier meal, there are options like fried noodles and pasta, too. Jingga Jingga Pizzeria is a pizza spot in the resort that serves delicious, freshly-baked pizzas. You should also check out the newly introduced Salt Shack Sports Bar that’s located right next to the infinity pool where you can have a drink! Alternatively, you can opt to dine in an al fresco setting and have a meal at the Zest Boardwalk.
Other activities you can do while you’re there is take a tour of Langkawi’s UNESCO Global Geopark or go on a Sunset Cruise to really get in touch with nature.
