Disney Has Announced Its Next Cast For Aladdin Remake
That’s right, Disney is set to make our dreams come true with a remake of Aladdin. Our childhood favourite cartoon will be turned into a live-action movie, taking the steps of recent hit ‘Beauty and The Beast’.
Rumours have been spreading like wildfire before Disney’s official announcement during the guessing game of who would be chosen to play Aladdin. News finally broke through at Disney’s popular D23 Expo where names have been called out for the three leading roles.

Mena Massoud, an Egyptian-born actor with a humble resume of screen credits that include both film and television roles will be taking on the lead as Aladdin. A rare decision made by Disney to cast an new and upcoming actor in such a high profile franchise but because of that, we’re even more excited to the check out the outcome!
Joining him on-screen will be Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine and Will Smith as the Genie. Aladdin will start filming in August, stay tuned for more info. Meanwhile, ya’ll can start placing bets on who will be taking on Jafar’s role with your friends!
