Selena Gomez Named Billboard’s 2017 Woman Of The Year And Here’s Why
Former Disney star to present Queen of Instagram with the highest number of followers to date. As an award-winning singer, producer and actress – Billboard has handpicked Selena Gomez as Woman of The Year at the best shape of her career.
In both 2015 and 2016, Gomez was in the Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 smashes with ‘Same Old Love’, ‘Hands To Myself’ and ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’. In the past year the trend of her chart-topping hits continue with the release of ‘Bad Liar’, ‘Fetish’ feat. Gucci Mane and ‘It Ain’t Me’ feat. Kygo.
Aside from music, Gomez also executive-produced Netflix drama ‘13 Reasons Why‘ everyone was hooked on. The award will be presented during the Annual Women in Music and Awards Gala this November 30th held at the Roy Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles. Selena Gomez will join previous Women of The Year honourees including Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Pink, Fergie, Beyoncé and Madonna.
