The 2018 World Cup Song Is Here And We Can’t Help But Think Of The Past Songs
Does the 2018 World Cup song ‘live up’ to expectations?
The 2018 World Cup officially begins tomorrow and the world is bubbling with excitement. Football lovers and non-lovers alike can’t help but look forward to the late night mamak sessions to watch the games. People will be setting their alarms to wake up in time for the 2am matches and some even go to great lengths of calling in sick the next day (shhh!).
But one of the things we definitely look forward to is the official song for the World Cup. From Ricky Martin to Shakira to Pitbull; we’ve had some chart topping hits that gained more than 900 million views on YouTube.
This year’s official World Cup song is sung by Nicky Jam, an American singer-songwriter born from a Dominican mother and a Puerto Rican father in Boston, Massachusetts. Jam is accompanied by famous actor, Will Smith and Era Istrefi, an Albanian singer-songwriter. The song, ‘Live It Up’ was released on the 8th of June on YouTube under Nicky Jam’s official YouTube channel and unfortunately people are not feeling it.
Well, the 2018 World Cup song is disappointing. #Fifaworldcup2018
