6 Ways You Can Live In The Moment This 2019

You know when the year’s almost over and you think to yourself, what have I done over the past year?

OK, that question might seem a little scary and daunting to even go there. But we mean in a positive sense too. The amazing holidays you had travelling to a different country, those moments you laughed out loud with your BFFs until your stomach hurt, that day when you successfully launched a huge project.

Those days should totally be embraced! But a lot of us tend to focus on the negative stuff, even if it was one negative thing that really impacted us the past year.

That’s why we want to show you how you can live in the moment this 2019. When you’re present in the little moments in your life, you’ll find that you’re able to enjoy them a lot more. The bad days won’t seem so bad because they’re only part of the journey.

Also, when you’re a lot more aware of your surroundings, you’ll be able to find the good things — like the delicious lunch you had during a tough work day, the fact that you have incredible friends and family around you or that you have a job that gives you income! It’s just a lot easier to find things to be grateful for when we’re more present.

It’s easier said than done, but a little goes a long way!

pen it down

Pick out a pretty journal or planner and it’ll make you feel super motivated to pen down your thoughts. You’ll even find yourself wanting to decorate the pages too. When you read your entries months or years from now, you’ll find yourself seeing your past days with fresh eyes. It’ll make you reminisce or simply laugh about something you went through!

You’ll appreciate the fact that you wrote about those days. It’s amazing how much we don’t remember about our past at times. While you might feel more inclined to journal on bad days, write about the good days more so you’ll remember them!

If you’re into customisation, we have a couple of local brands you can check out. Funky Pencils is a Malaysian brand that sells personalised notebooks and pencils. Choose from a range of different colours and be inspired throughout the year.
