In his latest speech, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that the movement control order (MCO) will be extended for another 2 weeks until April 14.

This comes after his briefing with the National Security Council and Health Ministry and it showed that there’s a major increase in new Covid-19 positive cases.

“The trend is expected to continue for a while before we can see the number of new cases reported decline. The government is of the opinion that the movement control order should continue.”

He also mentioned that the government decided to announce it early so that the people can be prepared.
