Meet Bachelor #18: Ernest Loh
Ernest Loh, 26, Interior Architect
Give us a little insight on what you do.
I’m an interior architect by trade and I’m currently freelancing in design work. I work during on my own time so it’s flexible enough for me to take part in TVC’s, reality TV shows and I’m currently working on a gym comedy YouTube channel – Mad Gains and Glory.
Do you have a favourite view?
Skylines of city centres or mountain ranges in Kundasang, Sabah. The former gives the perspective of ambition and reach; the latter makes me feel humble, grounded, and grateful.
If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
I’d like to have more opportunities to pursue my other interests or passions unrelated to my career, such as robotics classes, video production, surviving on a deserted island and dirt bike riding.
In five years, what do you hope to see invented?
Week-long lasting smartphone batteries or wireless charging that automatically charges your phone when you walk into the room.
Given the chance to design a space for anyone, what kind of space would it be, and for who?
A Bond villain, and it will be the work cum leisure room to plot world domination.
For what in your life do you feel most grateful?
For where I am today. I don’t exactly have nine-to-five office job, which means more freedom and time to pursue some of my other aspirations.
What’s an accessory all men should have?
Humour. How else are you going to get through life?
What puzzles you about the opposite sex?
How one can go from cool chick to to Gone Girl (the movie) real quick if not careful.
What is biggest lie about love?
That love conquers all. Maybe in the movies.
