CLEO Hot Bachelors 2018: Adil Ashfaq Hussain
ADIL ASHFAQ HUSSAIN, 24, MODEL AND STUDENT
At first glance, Adil Ashfaq Hussain might seem like your typical party boy but on the contrary, he does not drink and does not smoke. Say what? That’s right, Adil spends most of his time watching documentaries on poverty or chilling with his friends.
What’s the one thing about you that surprises people?
I’m judged based on my looks a lot and people always associate me to be a party boy, or a play boy. But it always throws them off when they find out I’ve actually never tried any alcohol, cigarettes or drugs.
I consider myself a Philomathes, as I really like learning, watching documentaries and having deep conversations about topics like religion, politics, women’s issues, history or philosophy. And listening to motivational speeches is a guilty pleasure.
– On what energizes Adil and brings him excitement.
How can someone win a gold star with you?
By showing respect and genuinely caring for others without wishing for something in return.
Tell us about your favourite childhood memory.
All my childhood memories circle back to the time I spent with my parents and four siblings. Of course, like other children we’d fight or steal each other’s food but there are also “no parents” parties, and the bond we share is unlike any other.
Blazer, H&M; T-shirt, jeans and accessories, Adil’s own.
If you could instantly become an expert in anything, what would it be?
Speed reading, and having the fullest understanding of whatever material I am reading because personally, possessing intellectual wealth goes beyond anything else.
Most important lesson about life?
Coming from a very rough background filled with hardships, I have learnt to appreciate everything that comes my way. Waking up in the morning and being alive, having good health, having food on the table and coming home to my mom (although she could be scolding me) are things I don’t think for granted, ever.
